The Dog Days Wine Tour is designed to be flexible, relaxed, and well supported. Riders may start anytime within the designated windows based on their chosen route and pace.
6:30 AM to 10:00 AM
Check in at the Online or Onsite Registration tables
Pick up your route map and wristband
Preordered merchandise can be picked up at the Merchandise table
Note: Doors to the registration hall open at 6:00 AM to allow volunteers time to prepare.
7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Riders may start anytime within this window
Longer distance riders are encouraged to start earlier
Shorter routes should plan to start no later than mid morning
Start time guidance is posted in the pavilion and on route materials.
Rest stops are well stocked with cycling friendly snacks, hydration, shade, and friendly volunteers.
Wine sampling is available at winery stops during posted hours.
Matus Winery
7:30 AM to 1:00 PM (all routes)
Wakeman Elevator Pit Stop
8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (38, 50, and 62 mile routes)
Redhead Ciderhouse
8:30 AM to 1:00 PM (50 and 62 mile routes)
Paper Moon Winery
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (62 mile route)
Vermilion Valley Vineyards
9:00 AM to 2:30 PM (all routes)
Important: Riders who start very early may arrive at rest stops before they open.
Lunch Served: 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Enjoy a hot sit down post ride meal at the finish area. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Post Ride Showers Available
Located near the finish
Riders must bring their own towel and toiletries
Showers close at 5:00 PM
3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Support vans begin final route sweeps
Riders not finished by 4:00 PM may be transported back by van
Last rest stop closes at 2:30 PM
Lunch service ends at 3:30 PM
These measures ensure all riders return safely.
Wristbands are required for rest stop snacks and the post ride meal
Riders who leave before scheduled start times may arrive at closed rest stops
Please ride responsibly, stay hydrated, and follow posted route markings
