Train Ride
My brother-in- law, who lives on Russia Road just west of Rt 58, has an extensive G gauge miniature train display.. The train layout runs in roughly a 20’ * 50’ area in his back yard, highlighting different scenes with miniature
characters. The scenes vary from a fairy garden to Mt Denali in
Alaska. There also is a bicycling scene.
The plan is to leave CVS at 10 AM on Saturday. The route is pretty much out in the county, so bring a few snacks and full water bottles. The best stopping place is Wakeman at about the 26 mile mark of the 42 miles, which gets us to the Train display between 12:30 and 1 PM. We will at least have cold bottled water at my brother in law's house for everyone. We have left sufficient time to look at the trains and displays and when done looking things over, will return to Oberlin at a soft pedal pace, 6 more miles for a total of roughly 48 miles for the day.
Anyone who would like to piggy-back another * level ride on
this adventure is welcome. Eva Weber has posted a 3* ride so check it out. If any one is interested in putting together a 1* or 2* ride, feel free or if you need more information, contact me (contact information is at the end of this e-mail). My brother in law will be ready for visitors by noontime. My only request is that we all plan to be there by 1 PM so that we do not take up my brother-in- law’s entire day.
If you are interested, put your ride on the calendar and let me
know. I will try to at least have some cold bottled water there
for everyone.
This will be a weather-permitting ride in all likelihood.
