MARBLEHEAD/KELLEY'S ISLAND TOUR RIDE

We will do a short scenic 15 mile loop around Marblehead then take the Ferry over to Kelley's Island and ride about 15 more miles then have lunch & refreshments on the shores of Lake Erie.

the Ferry cost for one way:

Adult $10

Seniors $8.25

Bikes $3.00

Take Ohio rt 2 west ,

cross over Sandusky Bay Bridge (Jackie Mayer bridge ), take first exit, ( Rte 269 to right ),

follow to Rte 163, turn right onto East Harbor Rd.

Go into Marblehead.

BY ICE CREAM SHOP, TURN LEFT ON JAMES ST,

GO TO END TO PARK AT JAMES PARK. (west of coast guard station)

9/15/16 Addenda

The ride is still on despite the weather report. We may opt to do skip the ferry over to Kelley's Island and extend the Marblehead portion of the ride. This will be 'ride time" decision based on radar and current conditions.

I had told several members that I was planning to cancel until someone reminded me of the ride we did a few years ago to East Harbor State Park and Johnsons Island. The day started rainy with poor prospect for improvement, but by ride time the bad weather disappeared and all riders had a good time.
