Train Ride
Note: This will be a "companion" ride to Wynn Gerber's train ride on the same day, but will NOT be a star chase.
Wynn Gerber's brother-in- law, who lives on Russia Road just west of Rt 58, has an extensive miniature train display. It is a G gauge train set (1/24”). The train set runs in roughly a 20’ * 50’ area in his back yard and is highlighted by different scenes with miniature characters. The scenes vary from a fairy garden to Mt Denali in Alaska. There also is a bicycling scene.
We are timing our ride to basically end at his house at
approximately 1 PM. We intend to spend some time there to
allow everyone participating to view the various scenes (there
may even be a quiz). We will then head back to
Oberlin.
Anyone who would like to piggy-back another * level ride on
this adventure is welcome. My only request is that we all plan to be there at 1 PM so that we do not take up my brother-in- law’s entire day.
If you are interested, put your ride on the calendar and let me
know. I will try to at least have some cold bottled water there
for everyone.
This will be a weather-permitting ride in all likelihood.
