Come early to downtown Oberlin and watch the annual "Big Parade". It will step off at about 11:00 a.m., or later - it's Oberlin, from Prospect School and come east on College St. to Tappan Square. It's lots of fun and nonsense with fanciful floats, musical instruments, unicycles, bicycles, clowns on stilts, Kendal's Lawn Chair Non-Precision Drill Team ... You never know what you'll see. One year a Silver Wheels unit was even in the parade! Club member Pat Serio generally marches in some type of creative costume. Free meal in Tappan Square following the short parade. Our 42 mile ride will start at 12:30 p.m. from Oberlin ACE parking lot. Time to stretch out the distance (in preparation for Horsey Hundred for some of us, and/or the Depot Day rides). We'll head west to Birmingham and then south to Brighton Twp. before heading back to Oberlin. Hopefully the wind will be at our back coming north on Baird to Kipton and then heading in on Rt. 511 to Oberlin.
