A Club favorite event, out where there is a lot of room to ride!

These rides are a star chase.  Both rides use the same route.  Unlike a typical Club ride, the leader of the faster group will not slow down for riders unable to maintain the pace, leaving them to be picked up by the trailing group.  The trailing group will leave no rider behind.

This route uses roads we didn’t use for Ride the Dog as much as possible. Included is an option to cut route short if it is too hot. Also, this is a chance to try out a few new roads in a sub-division - see the odd loop at mile 14 to 15.6. Ride leader could easily cut this loop out if heat is an issue. 

There is an option at mile 20 to return to Sherod Park and make it a 22 mile ride. 

NOTE: If a 4 star rider has been dropped prior to mile 20, they may either return to Sherod Park to maintain the integrity of the Star Chase or they can ride the extra loop but they will be considered a YOYO rider at that point. The extra loop is an additional 4.7 miles and includes a second trip down Thompson Hill. The 4 star ride leader will not drop anyone that starts the extra loop with the group at mile 20.
