The first 20 miles of these rides are a star chase, where two rides of adjacent star levels share the same route.  Unlike a typical club ride, the faster ride leader will not slow to accommodate folks unable to maintain the pace, leaving them to be picked up by the trailing group.  The trailing group will leave no rider behind.  Only the 3* group has an optional 5 mile ride extension. This extension will be ridden as a typical, no drop club ride. Any 3* rider not with the main 3* pack must end their ride after 20 miles.
