Pedal for Pantry Ride
It is mostly flat. My Club ride will be two loops of a 35 mile course with an option for ending after the first loop. The 70 miles ride is a celebration of OCS’s 70th anniversary. The ride starts at 9:00AM at OCS, 500 E Lorain St in Oberlin, and is open until 5:00PM. There will be water and snacks at OCS available for riders. There is to be a group photo op prior to ride time, so you might want wear SW gear if you have any.
The ride is a repeated 35 mile route, much of it on the trail. The desire is to raise funds for the Pantry.
I’m sure you are aware that federal funding for food pantries has been drastically cut. The amount of food available to OCS through Second Harvest is much diminished. And this at a time when more and more people are out of jobs and desperately needing assistance.
I would love to have you ride with me, and making an optional contribution to OCS Pedal for the Pantry would be greatly appreciated. Any encouragement of friends/family to support your ride would be a nice bonus. And if you ride the Chili Metric, why not contribute to OCS one dollar for every mile you ride?
You can Sign up to ride Pedal for the Pantry and make a contribution online at https://www.oberlincommunityservices.org/pedal Or send a check to Oberlin Community Services, writing Pedal for the Pantry on the memo line, and mailing to Oberlin Community Services, 500 E Lorain, Oberlin 44074.
