Bike and Hike Adventure

We will meet at Mineral Lake Park, Middlefield for an out and back along the Maple Highlands Trail.

Optional post ride short hike at Nelson-Kennedy Ledges Park - 15 minute drive from Mineral Lake Park.

Nelson Kennedy State Park

The hike portion is specifically to see the new skywalk at Nelsons Ledges

The Sky walk is 1/4 mile from parking lot, a relatively easy walk, mostly smooth but a few rough parts with rocks and roots but when I was there earlier this year there were young children and elderly types ( oh wait, we are elderly types ) They seemed to manage ok.

There are other things to explore there. Such as The Squeze, Devils Hole, Devils Ice Box, Dwarfs Pass, The Narrows, Old Maid's Kitchen,  Gold Hunter's Cave , &  Cascade Falls  if you wish to see those it will require some level of dexterity, agility, and most importantly concentration. but if kids and grandparents wandered around there so can you.

If this event goes well there could be one or two similar adventures to follow. If this event goes poorly you could expect to see three or four similar adventures in the future.
